The New North Eastern Waste Water Treatment Works was undertaken for Mangaung Metro Municipality and entailed the complete civil construction of all infrastructure to this 25Ml/ day facility.
The Phoenix Wastewater Treatment Works extension was undertaken for Ethekwini Municipality. The existing 25Ml/day sewerage plant was upgraded to a capacity of 50Ml/day.
The greenfield civil construction of the Lower Thukela Water Treatment Works was undertaken for Umgeni Water and included the construction of a 55Ml/day water treatment works and its infrastructure including reinforced concrete water retaining structures.
Rand Water’s new 600Ml/day System 5 Water Treatment Plant project entailed the design, building and commissioning, of a sedimentation plant including flocculation, sedimentation and carbonation plants, as well as the sludge pump station. More information on the project is available here.
The Wellington Waste-Water Treatment Works was upgraded to operate at an ultimate capacity of 16 Ml/day (average dry weather flow) for the Drakenstein Municipality. The project entailed earthworks, roads and all civil infrastructure construction.
The upgrade of Arcelor Mittal’s non-recoverable effluent treatment plant in Newcastle included the construction of circular concrete water-retaining tanks (between 4Ml and 20Ml), machine buildings, the reverse osmosis plant and ancillary works.
Stefanutti Stocks constructed the civil infrastructure for the Sterkwater Waste-Water Treatment Works (WWTW) for the Mangaung Metropolitan Municipality, in order to increase the capacity of the water treatment work from 4 Ml-a-day to a hydraulic capacity of 20 Ml-a-day. The Usuthu Water Purification Plant was constructed by a Stefanutti Stocks and ORO Projects joint venture. The project comprised civil engineering construction of new 16Ml/day water treatment works – including water retaining structures, block retaining walls, pipework, building works, general site works and installation of mechanical and electrical equipment to the plant.
